This is a page for Fellowship of Faith’s Christianity 201 class on Luther and the Teachings of Christianity. It provides a place to continue discussion beyond Sunday morning as well as a place to ask questions that are not addressed in class directly. The discussion questions for each week are on here if you want to share your answers, and there are additional resources available.
Luther and the Teachings of Christianity is a 3-part class surveying the source documents of the 16th century Lutheran Reformation as a window to the central teachings of the Christian faith.
Session One: Luther’s Large & Small Catechism: Investigations in the 10 commandments, Apostles’ Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Church, and Lord’s Supper. Jan. 8th-March 25th.
Session Two: Augsburg Confession and Apology: Examining the fundamental teachings of the Christian faith: God, sin, salvation, and the life of a believer. April 15th-July 1st.
Session Three: Formula of Concord: A look into the deeper questions of the doctrines that divide: Predestination and free will, original sin, good works and righteousness before God, Christ’s two natures and his “descent into hell”. Sept. 9th-Nov. 25th.

Looking forward to questions for “round II” (april 28). Pete
